Upsides Community Guidelines

Community Spirit

Upsides is designed to support an ecosystem of business founders and owners, influencers, creators, business coaches, and members with various skills and experiences. We strive for a community that is supportive, positive and helpful.

Above all, we desire a state wherein the community ethos itself encourages a healthy mutual respect, even during discussions that involve divergent points of view. We believe that the best ideas and solutions come through the exploration of different perspectives, and that such should enlighten all who participate and observe.

However, this is only so when debates are entered into in good faith and based on mutual respect.

There are many online destinations wherein antagonistic interactions are allowed and even encouraged. Upsides wishes to offer respite from these environments, especially as our focus is on constructive growth and productive activity that generate positive outcomes—financially, professionally and personally—for all involved.

As such, the Community Guidelines start from a small set of rules that comprise "The Basics", however, may be amended as required over time.
A Key Consideration

Ideas that may seem unworkable may, in fact, be brilliant when viewed from a different perspective.

It is a near certainty that extraordinary talent in what may seem the "unlikeliest of packages" will be discovered in the Upsides Community, as our program design provides opportunities that previously did not exist for large segments of society.

When engaging with others here, be open to ideas and perspectives that come from people with different backgrounds and experiences, and you may just be amazed by what we can build together.
The Basics

  1. Don't be mean.
  2. Seek first to understand.
  3. Think constructively.
  4. Consider how you can be supportive or helpful in every interaction.
  5. You may encounter people within the Upsides Community who think or speak differently. Embrace them and seek to learn more about them and their perspectives.
