Overview

Upsides University is a space where members can teach other members. <br> <br>Have something to teach? Sign up to teach! <br> <br>Want to take a course? Sign up, find a course, or request one! <br> <br>#### How To Start Teaching <br> <br>It's easy! <br> <br>1. Set up your regular user profile: <br> <br>https://upsides.network/profiles/edit_my_profile <br> <br>2. Set up your Specialist Persona. Be sure to describe your experience and add all of the skills you're willing to offer/teach: <br> <br>https://upsides.network/profiles/talent/edit <br> <br>3. A course is a type of Event. So, create an Event under your profile: <br> <br>https://upsides.network/profiles/events <br> <br>For the Event Type, choose "Course/Seminar". Name your course and choose the start/end times, as well as how often you meet. You can also select whether you manually approve each attendee and more. <br> <br>**** <br>IMPORTANT!!!! Once you've set up your course Event the way you want, be sure to check the "Activate Event" box to make it live! <br>**** <br> <br>4. Now, just join the Upsides University community. That will allow your courses to show up on the "Events" tab: <br> <br>https://upsides.network/@UpsidesU <br> <br>5. Share your course's Event link on social media to invite people to attend (remember to always use the course Event profile's "Share" link so your referral link is embedded). <br> <br>If they sign up for Upsides Network, you'll earn recurring referral commissions for as long as they maintain their premium membership! <br> <br>6. For any course materials, you can host them on Google Drive or similar, then simply add links to them in your course's Event description. <br> <br>Important: For any updates you need to send to students, just post to your course Event's timeline and use the "Post as" feature to post as the Event (this ensures your attendees receive notifications). <br> <br>7. Once your course time(s) arrive, just go to your course's Event page and tap the "Join" button to launch your video call. Your students will do the same. <br> <br>#### How To Start Learning <br> <br>1. Set up your regular user profile: <br> <br>https://upsides.network/profiles/edit_my_profile <br> <br>2. Join the Upsides University community, here: <br> <br>https://upsides.network/@BlackSharesU/events <br> <br>3. Click the "Events" tab. It will automatically filter by Event Type, "Course/Seminar" and show available courses. <br> <br>4. Use the "Attend" button to join whatever courses interest you. <br> <br>5. Be sure to check the Event's description for any course materials or instructions from your teacher. Also, be sure to check out any posts from your teacher when you receive notifications! <br> <br>6. At the time(s) of your course, simply visit the course's Event page and tap the "Join" button to attend the video call! <br> <br>7. Don't see a course you want? Post a request on the Upsides University timeline! <br> <br>https://upsides.network/@UpsidesU/posts <br> <br>8.
